Yawning Property Development announced Tuesday that it plans to begin construction in July on a three-story, 12,930 square foot development called 10.5 Studewood at the southwest corner of 10th 1/2 Street and the Studewood Street. A press release from the developer said the property will include a “workplace and convenient drive-thru option, while maintaining a clean, upscale feel, with outdoor seating.”
Nearby residents are invited to attend a groundbreaking event on the property scheduled for 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7.
“This magnificent building…will be a central feature of the ever-changing community, drawing inspiration from the walkability of the greater Heights District, while providing a striking and gracious ambience for the entire area,” the Yawning President wrote. Property Development, Wayman Chunn. Press release. “Particularly unique to this new offering is the use of non-aligned structural plates, which bring added interest to the building design.”
The 10.5 Studewood project is the inaugural development from Yawning Property Development, which has announced its partnership with Heights Venture Architects and CTC Contractors.
The property on which the upcoming development sits previously comprised four single-family homes, one of which housed the Hello Lucky Life store. It was replaced for commercial use in 2020 and then sold to the developer last summer.
